Dubai Phrasebook
Arabic is the official language in Dubai, although English is widely spoken throughout the city and especially in business transactions. Nevertheless it is useful to learn at least a few words of Arabic especially if you're planning to visit oasis towns outside Dubai.
Spoken Arabic varies a great deal, so much, that Arabic speakers in the UAE may not understand Arabic speakers in Morocco. Nevertheless here are a few spoken words and phrases, to get you started:
